Ideally located on the edge of Pisa’s historic centre, just a short walk to the Leaning Tower and the Cathedral, it is very well managed by its owners. Featuring a spacious and stylish lobby with lounge, bar and a restaurant specialising in local Tuscan cuisine, spacious and elegant rooms await, with all the facilities you would expect of a modern four-star hotel including a well appointed bathroom, air conditioning, mini bar, Wi-Fi and TV.
The four-star Grand Hotel Guinigi, (http://www.grandhotelguinigi.it/) situated in a leafy area of Lucca and a twenty-five minute stroll from the famed city walls, the hotel offers a wonderfully tranquil base. There is a welcoming bar and lobby area on the ground floor. All rooms are furnished in soothing pastel shades with satellite TV and are fully air-conditioned.
The four-star superior Grand Hotel Miramare (www.grandhotelmiramare.it), is housed in a fin-de-siècle building dating from 1906, facing the sea to the front and landscaped gardens to the rear. The public areas, bar and restaurant are tastefully decorated, with hardwood floors, intricate coving and contemporary furnishing creating a wonderful ambience. The rooms are just as sophisticated and the entire hotel is modern yet retains its essential character of period elegance. There is also a sea-water swimming pool (open seasonally) overlooking the coast.
The Hotel Regina Elena is located on the seafront and has a lush garden that leads directly to a private beach. Founded in 1910, the hotel has been modernised yet still retains some charming original features, such as the hardwood floors and the fine silverware from the ‘30s. The comfortable rooms are well-appointed. From May to October, guests may use the heated pool and hot tub on the rooftop, where there are lovely views of the coast.
