Latest Tour of Rome - Ancient & Baroque Testimonial

  1. It has been a couple of weeks now since myself and my husband took a holiday with your company to Rome.  Unfortunately personal circumstances prevented me from writing earlier to say how much we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was comfortable and all our drivers excellent.  Our Tour Manager Paula, and local guide Antonella were not only efficient and knowledgeable but excellent company too.  They were always helpful and cheerful and added much to our first real trip to Rome.

I had a particular request for Antonella with regard to a specialist interest I have of foundling wheels (I have been a volunteer researcher for the London Foundling Museum for some years).  I would be pleased if you could let her know that not only did I find the foundling wheel at the Santa Spirito near the Vatican, which I spoke of, but also at the Santi Quattro Coronati, which I would not have known of without her local knowledge.  She might be interested to know that although the wheel is still there (apparently used for newspaper deliveries) the nuns no longer use the wheel to pass out the key but use an electronic buzzer instead.  At this chapel we also discovered the recently renovated cloister garden - I would imagine a lovely spot to visit on a hot day in summer.

I am certain we will be booking another holiday with Riviera in the future, and perhaps at some time make a return trip to Rome.

    With best wishes
