1. Jerusalem, Galilee & the Dead Sea Tour

   This was my 1st time to travel on my own and I had always wanted to see Israel on a historic tour. It turned out to be excellent. Our Riviera tour guide (“Norman”) was excellent and ensured we were well informed in advance of our planned activities and our local guides in Israel and in Bethlehem were also excellent. We were very well briefed on the history of all the places we visited and also given a reasonable amount of free time to take pictures etc. I was particularly pleased when each of us had a personal radio linked to the guide so could hear his detailed explanation of an area without having to be physical close to him. I would and have recommended Riviera Travel to friends. I am sure I will avail of their services for my next guided tour - maybe Vietnam/Cambodia.

2. India & Nepal Tour

   If you were having any doubts about taking this tour with Riviera - don`t! It is an absolutely fantastic holiday - busy, hectic, chaotic but worth all the early mornings and travelling. This part of India is not for the faint hearted but we cannot recommend it highly enough. The sights are amazing, but we were just as fascinated by the daily lives of the local people. Our tour guide - Christine Walker was outstanding. She made everything run like clockwork and she made the whole tour as easy as possible for us - not easy with 29 people to organise.  The local guide in India (Vikram) was knowledgeable and keen to tell us all about his country. Nepal is stunning. The earthquake has made life very difficult for the local people but you hardly notice it as a tourist. The people are warm and friendly and need us to visit to boost the economy. Again the local guide (Krish) was great and the National Park was amazing. This was our first holiday with Riviera but we are very impressed and would not hesitate to use them again.

4. A Journey on the Mekong - RV Mekong Prestige II

   What a contrast-  5 star cuisine at the hotels and on the boat and then each day be taken out to see how the local people live- fresh fish from Tonle Sap, fried frogs, snake wine, cooked whole baby duckling, silk scarves, lacquer work, tuk-tuks, ox cart rides, the list of interesting things to see and do is endless. Can’t fault this holiday- we were even met at Heathrow by our guide( Lorenza) who stayed with us for the whole for the holiday. The Tour Leader, Matthius, on the boat was very professional and looked after both the English and German speakers and so nobody suffered from lack of information.

5. Vietnam & Cambodia Tour

   Recently returned from a tour of Vietnam & Cambodia and had a fantastic time, all the hotels were of a really high standard, it was the first time that we had travelled with a group of unknowns but we found all of our party to be really nice people . Unfortunately during our trip my wife tripped and broke a bone in her foot but our guide Pauline was fantastic and made arrangements for the rest of our flights to be as easy as possible which made travelling less stressful. Also when we were in Siem Reap our local guide Pisher made arrangments for my wife to see Angkor Wat in a private tour which made up for not being able to go on the group tour. All in all I would recommend this tour. The only thing that we felt would have improved the trip would have been less time in the cities
