Latest Burma & Irrawaddy River Cruise Testimonial

  1. A thoroughly enjoyable experience! Our group of 25 were guided expertly by Deborah, the UK Tour Manager, and the local guides. The Burmese people are friendly and helpful. Everywhere we went we were made welcome. The scenery is lovely, proved by the 100’s of pictures we took of the river banks, villages, towns, not to mention the numerous pagodas and temples we visited. Special thanks should go to Deborah and the local agents who managed to make sure we reached home, when on our final day the first of our internal flights was delayed by bad weather. Also the kindness of the Burmese airport personnel and Thai Airlines who “pulled out all the stops” to get us on the planes. Quite an adventure and not a single moan to be heard.

Important note on Burma & Irrawaddy river cruising

The itinerary, timings and places visited en-route are subject to weather conditions and water levels. You will need to have a sufficient level of mobility to manage getting into small boats, walks up steps and over uneven ground. After so many years of being closed to the outside world, the general facilities in Burma outside the larger towns and hotels tend to be basic, road transport can be lengthy and service slower than in other more developed countries in South East Asia.
